We currently have two job opportunities here at Solar Technology International. Focusing on the leisure vehicle industry we are looking to recruit a results-driven Area Sales Manger and, at our Bredon headquarters, we have a Warehouse Production Operative role we are keen to fill. Details of both positions are detailed below.

Area Sales Manager - Midlands and North

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Area Sales Manager to join a strong team with ambitious goals for the future. You would be working largely in the Midlands & North selling off-grid solar systems into multiple market sectors.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they are flexible, self-motivated and results driven with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Your role would include maintaining relationships with current customers in the caravan, campervan and motorhome market and finding new business for our growing product range both in that sector and elsewhere.

Key Responsibilities:
• Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and establish meaningful contacts within new and existing sectors.
• Manage and grow business with existing account base.
• Be comfortable advising customers with technical product information.
• Represent the company at shows and exhibitions.
• Attend and actively contribute to company sales meetings.
• Integrate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly operations and marketing
• Maintain records of activities and report regularly as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Good sales track record with similar technical products or services
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective internal and external interactions.
• Ability to understand and articulate technical product information – a technical background (electronics, RV/caravan based, solar panel converter or similar sector) would be ideal, as would an understanding of 12V systems but product training will be given.

• Working from home or office as required.
• Able to stay away from home on occasion.
• UK driving licence.

Warehouse Production Operative

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Production Operative with a valid forklift truck license to join our team in Bredon, Tewkesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and possesses the necessary skills to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Production Operative:

• Help to pick, assemble, pack and dispatch customer orders in a quick and accurate manner. The production of 12V items, such as power stations, is also part of the role.
• Forklift operation: Safely operate a forklift truck to move, stack, and organise products within the warehouse.
• Products will be produced using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs), this work requires fine soldering, cable cutting and crimping, and drilling using bespoke made jigs. A fine eye for detail is essential to ensure all products are produced to an impeccable standard.
• Order picking and packing: Accurately pick and pack orders according to established guidelines, ensuring timely and precise fulfillment.
• Stock management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies to your Team Leader.
• Quality control: Ensure all products meet quality standards by conducting thorough checks during the receiving and dispatching processes.
• Safety compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the safe operation of equipment and the proper storage of goods.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve collective goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Requirements of a Warehouse Production Operative:
• Forklift truck license: A valid forklift truck license is essential for this role.
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Location:
The role is based in Bredon, near Tewkesbury, providing easy access for candidates living in the local area.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with working hours limited to days only. There are no shift patterns, offering a stable and predictable schedule.
